Timetable
1pm - Carnival opens on Burwell Recreation Ground (Bar, stalls, food vendors, Burwell Belles WI teas+cake & attractions)
1:30pm - Carnival parade from the Ex-Service Club car park, proceeding down The Causeway, turning left into Hythe Lane and then onto the Recreation Ground up to our stage.
2pm - Stage: Parade Presentations / Shredder Skate School annual competition begins at the skate park, till 5:30pm.
2:30pm - Burwell Folk and Pirate collective: hot from having just been in the parade, with some of your favourite sea shanties to join in with!
3pm - PWL: Performance without Limits: welcoming back our favourite street dancers!
3:30pm - Burwell Judo: display in front of the stage.
4pm - On stage: ‘Hello Dave!’ playing some of your favourite sing-along 80s & 90s songs, so expecting you to join in! / In the arena: Yoga Demo
4:30pm - PWL: Performance without Limits – second dance display session.
5pm - Phased Hoarse (featuring members of 'Hoarse with No Name' + guests): Playing 70s rock covers.
6pm - Raffle prize announcements, followed by the start of our exciting evening of band entertainment!
Evening bands, with filler music and interviews by Burwell Radio broadcasting live and over the PA:
6:30pm - Anorak: A female-fronted indie band formed by four local teenagers based around the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border.
7:45pm - Akimbo: Playing both types of music. ROCK...and ROLL!!
9:30pm - Submarine Racers: Covering current and past classic hits from 60s pop to new wave to rock and everything in between, a fun and entertaining cover band playing favourites and creating a party atmosphere that will make your event rock! With a twist of rock 'n' roll, a little bit of soul and a dash of dance-floor classics, we'll having you dancing the night away playing music from the 50s to the present day by artists including Elvis, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Pink Floyd, Bryan Adams, Jackie Wilson, Jake Bugg, The Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon, The Beach Boys and many many more...
11pm (ish) Carnival closes for another year… but don’t worry there’s the Community Festival Day to now look forward to on Sat.3rd September, Margaret Field: 2-10:30pm
