Attractions, Food & Stalls on the Carnival Showground

The Fun Fair will be larger than ever this year, with the addition of two large rides, a Big Wheel and an adult set of Chairoplanes, plus previous favourites, the high Energy Miami, Dodgems and the giant Circus Fun house.

Do check-out our display of classic cars and bikes, a new attraction for 2019. We’re very grateful to all vehicle owners.

Another new addition this year is that we’ll be looking for children 10 years, and under, to enter in our programme of Kiddies Sports. Invitations have also been extended to all local clubs/groups, businesses and football teams to participant in our ‘light-hearted’ ‘Tug-of-War’. Nothing too serious, as it’s meant to be ‘a bit of fun!’ Do please enter for both on the day.

Feeling hungry? We have a Noodle Bar plus our regular attendees of Pizzas & pork rolls and Thai food on offer throughout the event. For those with a sweet tooth, doughnuts and ice cream will be on sale come rain or shine! To quench your thirst we have a couple of options, with the wonderful Burwell ‘WI’ Belles supplying traditional cream teas, cakes and drinks; together with our licenced bar (12 noon-10.45pm) selling real ale, lager, cider, Pimms (jugs/glasses), other spirits and soft drinks and snacks.

We’ve got plenty of stalls for you to browse at Carnival (12 noon-5.30pm), from local charities to gifts and games. Come and buy unique handcrafted gifts for your friends and family (and last-minute gifts for Father’s day!)

Stalls include handmade wooden toys, jewellery, hair braiding and accessories, henna tattoos, hedgehog houses and bird boxes, candles, face painting, cards, handmade bags and much more!

Local organisations such as Burwell Print Centre, Burwell Museum and Churches together will also be there – come and meet local volunteers, find out how you could contribute or just catch up with locals for a chat. A full list of stalls is available on our stalls page.

All in all we aim to make this years Carnival the best ever with something for everyone which we hope will be enjoyed by all.
