Burwell Village Carnival

We will again be holding the annual Burwell Carnival on Saturday 20th June, 2020 at the Recreation Ground. As usual there will be many attractions for all the family and attendance in recent years has been around 3000+ people during the day/evening. All money raised from events prior to and throughout the day is collected and a large proportion of profits are distributed to participating groups and organisations within the village. We would very much like to invite you to book an outside pitch this year to display your goods/services.

The event site is open to the public from 12 noon, when our licensed bar is open. (The Carnival theme parade procession begins on Margaret Field at about 12 noon, winds its way through the village and ends on the Recreation Ground at 12.45 p.m.) All stallholders will need to be set up by 11.00 am, as traffic is temporarily halted/restricted in various places throughout the village to enable the floats to proceed to the field. All stalls must remain open until at least 5.00 pm. For those wishing to remain through the evening, then you will need to bring your own lighting.

As always, craft stall outside pitches are incredibly popular at this event and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Cost are £30 for trade stalls and £20 for charity/community stalls.

Please note: Catering, Fun fair and Children's Leisure already fully let
