Carnival Presentation Night 23rd September starting at around 7pm for 7:30pm in the Ex Servicemen’s and Social Club.
The aim of the Carnival is to have a Fun Day for all of the family and to raise money for village organisations and charities.
Despite the logistical problems involved in having to move the site of the Carnival to the Recreation Field, the threat of having to cancel because of a waterlogged field and worries of bad weather, the Carnival was a great success.
Now that all outstanding expenses have been paid we are ready to announce the amount raised and to distribute the funds This will take place as usual in the Ex Servicemen’s and Social Club.
If your organisation is a recipient please send a representative/representatives along to join in and to receive your cheque. We would like as many as possible to be there when the cheques are handed over. So don’t forget Friday 23rd September at 7pm in the Ex Servicemen’s Club.
It would be a great encouragement for us to know how the money you received last year has helped your organisation, so we look forward to your messages on our Facebook page.
The Parish Council has agreed to let us use the Recreation Field again in 2017 and we have already started to plan for next year’s Carnival.
Our first fundraising event for the 2017 Carnival will be a Race Night on the 19th November in the Mandeville Hall. Sale of tickets will be announced on our usual social media sites :
