A nine piece marching jazz band complete with Grand Marshal in front with frock coat top hat and decorated umbrella. We are delighted to have this band to lead our carnival float parade (12 noon) and play on the field during the afternoon.

Exciting additions to this years carnival, feature two performances by Ben’s, displaying very different skills!
Firstly, Ben Savage with the Savage Skills – Cycle Stunt Team (4 & 6.10pm - Arena) Not every day a former World Champion comes to Burwell!
Add to this the amazing ball juggling skills of football freestyler, Ben Nuttall, a former Birmingham City academy player, who upon his release has launched himself into a career which has taken him all over the world, culminating in an invitation to perform at last years Champions League Final! Ben currently holds the Guinness World Records for 187 keepy uppys, but with a rugby ball! He will be on stage, 1.55 & 5.45pm and giving demonstrations around the showground during the afternoon. Later he will be recruiting and judging entrants to our own, free to enter, football freestyle competition.
Drawing on local talent, get a blast of song covers from talented local performers, who regularly feature at Burwell’s ‘Open Mic’ events held every month at the Sports Centre.
Dance the night away with music from classics to right up to date with Leachey’s Disco Bus. Andy Leach gets the hits playing and the party rocking but his bus has an identity all of its own. Check out the distinctive green VW van with the dragon motif and ask about its claim to fame!
The 55 are a young indie-alternative band, combining musical talents from Bottisham, Burwell and Cambridge. The band formed in early 2016 and started out performing covers of their favourite songs. They now have a number of high profile performances to their name are working on their first EP which is due to be out this year.
Appearing at Burwell Carnival for the first time, this immensely popular local band will get you Rockin’ on the Rec with their lively performance.
The Compressors are a 6 piece covers band, armed with a set of high energy party tunes. They’ll get your hands clapping and your feet stomping in true Burwell Carnival style. Based in Burwell, this band is really going places – don’t miss their headline performance on Saturday evening.
